Pelawak Harith Iskander telah memfailkan saman terhadap penganjur The Laugh Factory kerana gagal melunaskan baki wang kemenangannnya yang menjuarai pertandingan Funniest Person In The World pada Disember 2016 lalu.

Harith mendedahkan, pihak penganjur gagal melunaskan baki wang sebanyak AS$70,000 (RM280,000) daripada jumlah sebenar AS$100,000 (RM400,000).

“It has been a roller coaster ride since I entered (and won) the competition in Dec 2016. My main intention for participating was to put Malaysia on the world map of comedy and I was thrilled to have done so in a small way.

“It may have looked simple but a lot of time, effort, work and not to mention expenses went into making this goal come true.

“The support and words of encouragement I received from Malaysians all over since then made the effort all worth it.

“When this article first came out, many people asked me if it was true but at that time, complaint was still pending in court, so I was advised by my lawyer in California not comment on it. Its finally official. I seriously had no intention to have it come to this point but was given little choice by the actions of the organisers,” tulisnya.
