If we look closely, we can find inspiration everywhere.

Just like how Alex Dodson, a design and technology teacher found inspiration in an old LPG or gas container after thinking that it looked similar to Star Wars villain Darth Vader.

Alex Dodson’s discovery led him to start his own business called Burned By Design, which makes made to order wood burners, fire pits and barbecues.

Dodson told Ladbible that he shared the photo of the Darth Cader LPG cylinder on Facebook, and the rest is history.

"It didn't look much like Darth Vader, more like an Angry Birds version, but I posted it on Facebook, and it went crazy.

Orders flooding in

"I set up a little workshop in the back of my dad's garage - which I set fire to numerous times - and on evenings and weekends I would make Vader Burners and ship them all over.

"I sent one to Australia and the client was kind enough to send me back a slow-motion video of it burning in his garden. The video wasn't anything fancy but it has been watched 22 million times...orders came flooding in and not just for Darth Vaders,” he said.

In fact, his products became so popular that he had a 32-week waiting list for them, at which time he decided to get involved in the business full time.

His most popular order are a variety of designs under the Star Wars range which include a Millennium Falcon, a Storm Trooper and a Death Star wood burners.
