‘Big Stage 2’ Contestant From Korea, Han Byul, On Singing In Malay

Jang Han-Byul, a contestant in ‘Big Stage 2’, admits that he needs to challenge himself by singing Malay songs during his performances.

According to Han-Byul, he’s more than ready to perform Malay songs and give the other contestants a run for their money.

“I can see that every contestant has their own strengths in terms of vocals and performance.

“So, I’m ready to give them a challenge by performing songs in Malay during my performance.

“At the moment, I’m trying to sing a couple of songs that need to be to fully perform it.

“This is probably the most challenging that I would have to do; performing in Malay,” Han-Byul told Astro Gempak when met at a Big Stage 2019 press conference held at Nicsmann, The Starling Mall, Damansara Utama, recently.

The contestants for ‘Big Stage 2’ have been revealed, and this season will see contestants from Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and South Korea.

The show that will be running for eight weeks will see six male and six female singers who will be showing off their vocal power to win the hearts of the judges.

Malaysian singers Santesh, Irfan Haris, Adzrin and Kucaimars, Bruneian Aziz Harun and Korean Han Byul are the male contestants.

The female contestants are Malaysians Neeta Manisha, Sheryl Shazwani, Syada Amzah and Fieya Julia, Thai Chaleeda and Indonesian Dinda Permata.

Alif Satar and Sherry Alhadad return to host the show.

ERA radio personality, Radin and Big Stage alumni Sissy Imann will be taking over for the live telecast of the finals, Big Stage Live Plus.

Malaysia’s number one singer, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza will be acting as a permeant jury. She will be joined by popular Indonesian singers Judika and Chakra Khan, who will be taking turns.

Each week, there will also be a guest who will be acting as the third jury.

The show will start airing on Astro Ria beginning 18 August 2019 on Sundays at 9p.m.
