Rentak Music Celebration Brings ’80s & ’90s Sounds to The MET KL This April

Kuala Lumpur’s live music calendar gets a nostalgic addition this month as Rentak Music Celebration makes its debut on 24 April 2026 at The MET Corporate Towers.

Organised by Triterra, Rentak is a one-night music showcase focused on the songs and sounds that shaped the 1980s and 1990s. The event is part of a broader culture-led placemaking effort that aims to extend The MET’s role beyond a business address, positioning it as a social and cultural destination after office hours.

Rather than a large-scale concert, Rentak is designed as a more intimate evening that brings together professionals, residents and music fans across generations, all centred around live performances, food and shared experiences.

The line-up

Headlining the evening are Ning Baizura, Elvira Arul and Yazmin Aziz, three performers known for their strong vocal performances and long-standing presence in Malaysia’s music scene. The artists will perform a selection of familiar favourites from the era, delivered in a live showcase format.

Comedian and actor Douglas Lim will host the night as emcee.

A milestone

Rentak also coincides with Triterra’s 10th year in Kuala Lumpur, reflecting the developer’s focus on creating environments that support both work and lifestyle experiences.

Led by CEO Christopher Lim, Triterra developed The MET Corporate Towers within KL Metropolis, in collaboration with master developer NAZA TTDI. The project has received regional recognition, including Best Office Development (Asia) and Best Commercial Development (Malaysia) at the 2024 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards.

According to Lim, the event is intended as a simple and familiar way to connect people.

“Music has always been something people relate to easily. Rentak is about revisiting songs many of us grew up with, and creating a shared experience around that,” he said.

Tickets are priced at RM250, which includes a buffet dinner at Malaysiana Food Garden. Attendees will also receive vouchers from selected tenants and partners at The MET, including Colony Coworking & Event Space, Anytime Fitness, Fowlboys, Jhol, Brotani, and Sol @ The MET.
