Looking for a New Hangout Spot? Check Out These 6 Vinyl Cafes in KL for Good Coffee & Even Better Music

Image2

TLDR

  • KL now has plenty of vinyl cafes that combine good coffee with nostalgic music for a unique experience.
  • Some of the popular spots include Listen HiFi, Eternyl Vinyl Cafe, Vintage Kissa Audio Cafe, MONK, V88 Cafe & Bar, and The Groove Room — all of which offer vinyl collections across various genres and distinct atmospheres.
  • Each cafe has its own unique appeal, such as paid vinyl listening sessions, interesting food and drink menus, and strategic locations around KL and Petaling Jaya.

Interesting cafes are everywhere in Kuala Lumpur now, but lately, it feels like people are looking for more than just latte art and Instagrammable spots. With vinyl records making a major comeback and vintage culture trending again (think analogue cameras and thrifted fits), more cafes are leaning into nostalgia as part of the experience.

So if you’re a cafe hopper who loves good coffee and good music, or you’re just curious about the vinyl revival, these vinyl cafes might just be your next go-to hangout spots.

1. Listen HiFi Cafe

Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Listen HiFi is a newly opened vinyl cafe that features stunning views of downtown KL and the KL Tower. This cosy cafe boasts over 100 vinyl records in its collection. Whether you’re into genres like rock, pop, or R&B, there are plenty of musical choices for you to explore.

If you’re curious about their vinyl collection, you can browse their catalogue here.

Eternyl Vinyl Cafe houses over 500 vinyl records across multiple genres, catering to all types of music lovers. The cafe currently operates two branches, one in SS18 and another in Sea Park, PJ.

Vinyl listening sessions are priced at RM20 for 90 minutes. If that’s not enough, guests can add another 60-minute session for just RM10. Exclusively at the SS18 branch, the cafe also has a personal photobooth where you can take home two photo strips (four shots) for RM15.
