SKII Wants To Empower Single Women With 'Meet Me Halfway' Short Film

It is not easy being a woman - especially a single Chinese woman during the festive season.

Questions like "Got boyfriend or not?" or "When are you getting married ah?" add extra pressure on these women, especially in a society where marriage is seen as a women’s greatest achievement.

Failing to get married or meet these expectations leaves the women struggling to deal with the disappointment of their parents.

In a bid to empower women, skincare brand SKII released a short film called 'Meet Me Halfway'.

The short film follows the journey of three young single Chinese women voicing their views on marriage.

They gather the courage to open up about their lives, dreams and aspirations to their parents alongside the pressure they’ve been facing to fulfil their “duty” to get married.

With the short film, SKII hopes to provide a platform where mutual understanding can be achieved to empower women to make a choice on their own.

'Meet Me Halfway' is part of the brand's award-winning #changedestiny global campaign.
