When the deadly floods hit the country recently, many Malaysians from all walks of life have come forward to help those affected by the natural disaster:

Among them is one young boy.

The youngest volunteer

Several photos of the boy were uploaded onto Twitter by user @nurassyaheera on 28 December and they have since gone viral.

In the photos, the boy, who was wearing an oversized red T-shirt and yellow boots and covered from head to toe in mud, can be seen working tirelessly as he helps clean up an area devastated by the floods.

The boy was also seen using a shovel almost as big as his entire body to scoop up mud from the area.

"Age is not a barrier. Kudos to the youngest volunteer", read the caption.

According to @nurassyaheera, the boy is a friend's nephew who initially posted the photos on Facebook.

Netizens are in love

The Twitter post has garnered more than 14,400 times and retweeted more than 6,080 times.
