As we are now in yet another lockdown, we know just how depressing it could be.

Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau knows that, that's why he has sent some words of encouragement to us.

'Work together'

The 59-year-old actor has made an effort to cheer his Malaysian fans up recently, when he found out that the country will undergo a two-week total lockdown.

Lau took to his official website Andy World Club to send a positive note to his fans.

In the blogpost, the Heavenly King urged Malaysians to have patience and work together in fighting the pandemic.

"To all my friends in Malaysia who are facing a two-week lockdown, have patience, meditate and work together to fight the epidemic," he wrote.


If you're wondering why Lau, who last performed at a concert in Malaysia back in 2019, specifically penned a message for his Malaysian fans, that's because he's basically part Malaysian (well, sort of).

Lau married former Malaysian beauty queen Carol Chu in 2008 and they have a nine-year-old daughter, Hanna.

On Friday (29 May), the National Security Council announced that the whole of Malaysia will be put under total lockdown beginning 1 June until 14 June.
