From time to time, we read about Malaysia as one of the countries that hold the most powerful passports in the world.

Well, power in this sense means we can travel to more countries without visa compared to others.

Currently, our passport is ranked ninth place in 'The Passport Index 2019' by the Global Passport Power Rank, with up to 119 countries in our visa-free list.

So, if you are making travel plans in the coming months, here are the top countries for Malaysians to visit without visa:

#1 Cambodia

Cambodia is rich in history and culture. All year long, people flock to this Southeast Asian country to visit the ancient temples, such as the famous Angkor Wat, Silver Pagoda, the sandy beaches at Sihanoukville, as well as the night markets and street food.

Peak tourist seasons fall on the drier seasons between November and May. If you don't mind sharing some of the popular attractions with crowds, this will be a good period to visit Cambodia because of the weather.

But if you prefer more peace and quiet, come during the monsoon season between June and October. Of course, you may have to wrestle with the rain and muddy landscapes at times.

#2 Taiwan

Taiwan is fast becoming a hotspot among tourists these days because of its adventure landscape and nostalgic traditions. It is the perfect choice for those who love hiking and mountain trails as well.

Some of the best spots to explore include the Taroko National Park, Sun Moon Lake, Kenting National Park, Mazu Pilgrimage, and not forgetting, the exciting night markets and calming hot springs.

It is best recommend to plan your trip to Taiwan between April and November because the weather is not intense during this period with less frequent rain showers.

Some of the must-visit locations are the Burj Al Arab, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Emirates Palace, Burj Khalifa, Liwa Oasis, and Jebel Jais.

Plan your trips here in April, May, September or October to have the best experience. But for even better weather, consider coming in the winter from December to March.

The peak season between mid-July and end of August can get quite hectic for travelling. So, try visiting around June or September for great weather and more laidback travelling.
