Tak tanggung, musisi yang baru berusia 18 tahun ini mencetak sejarah sebagai pembawa pulang piala termuda di Grammy setelah Lorde (ia masuk nominasi di usia 17 tahun) untuk
kategori Song of the Year lewat hitnya Bad Guy.
Bad Guy yang ada di debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? menewaskan Lover dari Taylor Swift, Hard Place milik H.E.R, Someone You Loved milik Lewis Capaldi, Truth Hurts milik Lizzo, Bring My Flowers Now milik Tanya Tucker serta Norman F*cking Rockwell dari Lana Del Rey.
Tidak hanya itu, Eilish sebenarnya membawa pulang 4 lagi piala utama Grammy Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, Album of The Year, dan Record of The Year.
Ia yang naik ke atas pentas menerima piala bersama sang kakak, Finneas O'Connell mengaku kaget dengan kemenangan tersebut.
"Oh my God, banyak lagu lain yang lebih layak menerima ini. Saya meminta maaf dan sangat bersyukur atas penghargaan yang saya terima di sini. Piala Grammy pertama saya," kata Eilish yang didampingi Finneas, sang kakak yang membuat musik bersamanya.
