A man from Egypt had apparently swallowed a phone!

According to a report in Times Now News, the man swallowed the phone six months ago, for no apparent reason.

He reportedly was too embarrassed to seek medical help and hoped that the device would pass through his body naturally.

Nature did not cooperate

However, the phone got stuck in his stomach and blocked food from passing through his body.

He later experienced unbearable stomach pain that left him with no choice but to visit the hospital.

Doctors at Aswan University Hospital who performed an X-ray scan on his stomach were shocked to find an entire mobile phone in it.

They then proceeded to perform an emergency surgery for potentially life-threatening injuries including intestinal and abdominal infections on the man.

Aswan University Hospital board of directors chairman Mohamed El-Dahshoury, was quoted in the report in Gulf Today as saying that it was the first time they had seen such a case.
