Singapore Airlines Has Banned Older Macbook Pro Laptops From Their Flights
If you're currently using a Macbook Pro and you're about to board a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight, you need to leave it at home right away.
That's because Channel News Asia reported that SIA has banned some older models of Apple's atas laptop because they pose fire risks.
In June, Apple has called for a recall of a "limited number" of 15-inch MacBook Pro units, sold between September 2015 and February 2017, as their batteries were susceptible to overheating.

Using a Macbook Pro and you don't know how to check if your model is affected? Follow these easy steps:
- On your Macbook, click on the Apple menu on the top left hand side and select 'About This Mac'
- Check the make and model of your Macbook
- If it says 'MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)', copy your laptop's serial number
- Click on this link and insert your serial number to see if it's eligible for a battery replacement

The good news is, the ban does not affect newer Macbook Pro models or any other Macbook laptop models, in fact.
So, remember to have your Macbook Pro checked before boarding any SIA, Thai Airways or Vietnam airlines flights, yeah?
