Honda Malaysia knows how to throw a party and what better occasion than literally selling a million vehicles built in Malaysia since the company’s inception back in 2001. Replacing the champagne showers as the climax of the celebration were seven one-off editions of its most popular models to be won.
Now, all the winners have been announced of the 1 Million Edition cars. Four of the seven winners were named earlier at the 1 Million Dreams Grand Finale Funfair held at Stadium Bukit Jalil.
The lucky quartet were made up of Chuah Sze Yong, Lim Lye-Gaik and Abdul Hakim Mohd Radzi who will drive home a one-off edition of the Civic, CR-V and Accord respectively. Meanwhile the one-off Jazz was reserved specifically for frontliners to honour their sacrifices for the nation during the ongoing pandemic. Police officer Shaiful Rezza Abdul Razak can now report for duty in the aforementioned Jazz.
As for the remaining three winners, they’d be chosen by Honda Malaysia’s brand partners for the celebration; Cuckoo, Shopee and Watsons, who each had a different method of selecting a winner.
Megawati Affendi was selected by Cuckoo to take home the City, Muhammed Faisal Adnan can thank Shopee for the HR-V and we’re sure Mohd Aisamuddin Mohd Azilah will be eternally grateful to Watsons for the BR-V he won.
All the seven one-off 1 Million Edition vehicles were given a Platinum White Pearl paintjob, gloss black roof, black wheels with a single spoke in red and the same red accent on the grille as well as the side-view mirrors.
Of course, the cabin wasn’t spared some special touches to keep pace with the exterior. You’ll find the headrests embossed with the 1 Million Edition emblem while the steering wheel is wrapped in leather with a red centre marker.
Completing the special edition treatment are emblems on the front fenders and a unique leather pouch for the key fobs.
Lastly, the lucky one millionth customer that purchased a Honda was also presented with a token of appreciation in the form of a gifts worth over RM8,000 from Honda, Cuckoo, Shopee and Watsons. The lucky customer was Ahmad Sirwan Mat Tuselim, who purchased a Civic.
