One main concern for car owners staying put at home is having the car’s warranty becoming invalid for not keeping to the service schedule. Well, unless you’re a Nissan owner.

Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. (ETCM) have announced that Nissan vehicles with warranties expiring within the Movement Control Order (MCO) period will be extended by an additional 30 days from the last day of the MCO.

Customers are advised to reschedule their service appointments within 30 days after the MCO is lifted to ensure the warranty on their vehicles remains valid. Rescheduling of appointments can be done via DriveOn mobile app, TCEAS website, Call Centre, or directly at TCEAS Service Centres after the MCO.

ETCM has elaborated that all existing warranties will remain valid, even if scheduled preventive maintenance intervals cannot be performed during the MCO period. Furthermore, ALL Nissan Service Centres will be temporarily closed during the MCO period, while Roadside Assistance and Towing Service will remain ACTIVE.

As part of this warranty extension, Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis Sdn. Bhd. (TCEAS) has also announced that it will extend its business operations hours from Monday to Friday, 8.30AM up to 8.00PM, whereas Kelantan and Terengganu from Sunday to Thursday.
