The Mercedes-AMG E 53 Cabriolet is a beautiful looking car with enough power that won’t make people accuse the vehicle of having all show but no go. Every inch of the car is designed to flaunt the success and flatter the ego of the driver. And yet for some, they want something more.

The He Cabriolet by Hofele-Design takes the E 53 Cabriolet and customises the convertible with an added layer of luxurious appointments. And they’ve called it, the HE Cabriolet.

The first thing you noticed about the HE Cabriolet is the absence of the three-pointed star on its familiar front grille. In its place, the stylised Hofele-H makes sure no one mistakes this for a ‘conventional’ E 53 Cabriolet.

Splashed with a gorgeous coat of high gloss metallic Peacock Blue, the HE Cabriolet will make many want a selfie with it. Hints of gloss Piano Black on the front and rear bumpers, with accents of chrome on the grille and front intake, this car does look striking.

The bold styling continues on the sides with the chrome strip running down three quarters the length of this 4.8-metre long road-yacht, accentuating HOFELE’s design language of “Elegant, Sophisticated with a touch of Sportiness”. This is further emphasised with the massive 21-inch Turbine wheels first seen on the Hofele HEQC, which was perhaps inspired by the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury concept SUV.

A truly Bespoke car is not complete without an exceptional interior, where the ‘Hofele Touch’ continues with an opulent, almost gaudy, open-air theatre. Sparing no expense, the interior has been refinished with the highest quality of materials, with ‘Royal Blue’ and ‘Magnolia’ leather throughout. The minute attention to detail in the interior really sets the HE Cabriolet apart from a regular Mercedes, with the blend of old school leather craftsmanship with modern computer guided perforation designs, quilting, stitching and contrast piping.

All surfaces, from the Cabriolet roof cover, dashboard, seat frames, and door trimmings, right down to the colour-coordinated luxury lamb wool floor mats are examples how high the level of craftsmanship that goes into this Hofele-tuned car. Even the factory plastics have been given the ‘Hofele Touch’, with the only indication inside that this was a production Mercedes being the three-pointed star on the steering wheel.

Now, the Hofele HE is a limited-edition, one-of-one Bespoke exclusive, and it is highly unlikely that ordinary peasants like you or me are going to ever see this. This is bad news if you have just bought a brand new Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet. However, we strongly suspect that if you ask the Hofele brothers, Michael and Martin Hofele very nicely, and throw in a very generous sum of money, the possibilities are endless.
