Before the appearance of the black interior you see in all Honda HR-V RS today, there was a time when the upholstery was wrapped in white. Wisdom, or perhaps unfavourable responses from the buyers on how hard it is to maintain a pristine interior in this kind of weather, have made Honda go black. In wanting to offer another colour option but not one for going back, Honda has decided to go dark brown instead.

Honda is not replacing the black for brown. Instead, you can have your HR-V RS with either the old black leather interior or the new dark brown leather interior. This new coloured leather wraps the centre console, front panel, driver and passenger seats (front and rear), and door panel lining.

There’s no change of price no matter which interior colour you get. Either way, you’ll end up paying RM124,800 on-the-road without insurance.

You can pair the brown leather with one of three exterior colours. Pair the dark brown leather with Passion Red Pearl if you want that chocolate cherry vibe or White Orchid Pearl for a cappuccino colour scheme. Only people with particular tastes should go for the Modern Silver Metallic with the brown interior because... do we really need to tell you the reason why?
