Mitsubishi Motors Opens Their Hearts With A Triton 4x4 Pick-Up Truck For INSAF Malaysia

One does not simply walk into mud or flood when delivering humanitarian aid. Instead, a 4x4 would be a better vehicle to get food across. INSAF Malaysia, a non-profit organisation, has been carrying out humanitarian efforts across the nation without stopping. Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has recently contributed a Triton 4x4 pick-up truck in hopes to make INSAF’s job much more manageable.

Just so you know, some of the NGO’s efforts include the distribution of food bank, lunch box and rice bags to orphanages and welfare homes, respectively. They also conduct ‘Meals on Wheels’, where food is distributed to old folks abandoned or live alone. The NGO also builds shelter homes for those hit by natural disasters and is in dire need of a roof above their heads.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, President and Founder of INSAF Malaysia, Ishak Bin Abdul Kadir, said, “We have witnessed a dangerous trend from the number of people suffering from malnutrition and food insecurity, especially during this pandemic. Hunger is on the rise in Malaysia as we’ve seen a lot of breadwinners lose their source of income which leads to the inability to put food on the table.”

“We are doing all that we can to make sure children or families don’t go to bed hungry hence we are so glad to have companies like Mitsubishi Motors reach out to us to offer help. The contribution of the Triton pick-up truck is timely, practical and very much appreciated,” he adds.

Now part of INSAF Malaysia’s fleet, the Triton will be used to run several programs under their purview, especially in helping to transport large quantities of food items for those that have been victims of poverty and natural disasters.

“Our CSR vision for this year is ‘Inspiring Lives Today for a Greater Future’. While our missions are to implement CSR activities that provides aid to support underprivileged children, and to collaborate with NGOs in promoting a sustainable economy, society and environment,” said Tomoyuki Shinnishi, Chief Executive Officer of MMM.

“When we found out that INSAF Malaysia’s humanitarian efforts are constantly striving for voluntary action, we want to support their work by contributing a Triton pick-up truck in hopes that the NGO can go beyond the distance and to help more underprivileged families.”

The pandemic has affected the lives of Malaysians, more so the underprivileged and downtrodden. It is genuinely heart-warming to see meaningful acts to help fellow Malaysians in need in these trying times.
