Nothing Says ‘I Have So Much Money And Don’t Know What To Do With It’ Than A RM1.15mil Lexus LM350

Owners of Alphards and/or Vellfires who think themselves as The Big Deal on the road, prepare to feel poor. Lexus has just opened the order books for the LM350 that costs more than a million bucks — literally. To be specific, the Lexus LM350 comes with a price tag of RM1,148,000, making it the most expensive van you can buy.

As if the Alphard’s grille isn’t big enough, Lexus’ spindle grille on the LM350 can swallow a child whole. Flanking the grille are LED projector headlights complete with Lexus’ signature DRL. The LM350 rolls on 18-inch noise-reducing alloy rims finished in hyper chrome metallic to match the rest of the shiny trim on the MPV.

The LM350 gets motivation from a 3.5-litre quad-cam V6 that produces 296hp and 361Nm. An eight-speed direct-shift automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels.

Driver’s should appreciate the comfort of the semi-aniline leather seats. The front people can also enjoy being closer to the 12.3-inch touchscreen, which can also be controlled via a touchpad.

But who are we kidding, we all know that you hire someone else to drive the LM350 while you lounge in the rear. The LM350’s interior features a ‘wall’ between the first and second-row seats to alienate the people in the front. If that isn’t enough, you can raise the glass partition to completely cut-off the people in front and achieve full privacy in the rear.

A 26-inch full HD display panel built into the ‘wall’. Hooked up to the TV is a 19-speaker Mark Levinson reference sound system that completes the mobile cinematic experience.

Lexus has ripped out the third-row seats and pushed the second-row captain seats further back. This gives the Adaptipedic seats the ample space it needs to be fully reclined. The seats also feature Ottoman massage function and can be air-cooled or heated. And let’s not forget drinks! The LM350 has a mini-fridge to keep your poisons chilled and ready for the happiest road trip you’ll ever have.

The over-the-top MPV is scheduled to officially launch in May 2021 with deliveries happening a month later. Lexus Malaysia has begun taking orders for the four-seater, which comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty. You can have your Lexus LM350 in all colours as long as it is either Black or White Pearl Crystal Shine.

While we’d instead buy a new Porsche Carrera S or a Ferrari Roma with that money, nothing else flaunts wealth with audacity than the Lexus LM350.
