Customisation is the heart and soul of the Art of Speed (AOS 2019). Unleashing your creativity is the very cornerstone of the show’s curation and in a bid to further accentuate that, the organisers begun an invitational build-off a few years back.

The Art of Speed Invitational Car Build-Off 2019 featured seven talented builders from across the country that competed for cash prizes of RM10,000 (jury) and RM5,000 (public) courtesy of Petronas.

Once the votes were in, The Classic Garage from Johor Bahru took home the jury’s choice while the public leaned towards Carazee Artwork from Klang.

Hot Wheels has been a mainstay of the show for years and once again, made their presence felt this year. The iconic toymaker brought Steve Vandervate, Global Hot Wheels Lead Designer (Premium and Collector Segments), to meet the fans here and subsequently launch the extremely desirable Japan Historics 3 series “Legendary Japanese Cars” that will be released in 2020. Present at the Hot Wheels booth were a showcase of the prototypes of the diecast.

Petronas also jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with Hot Wheels on a limited-edition diecast collectible together with Krome Bandits. Hausboom, the official beverage for Art of Speed, also presented an official 1:1 scale Volkswagen Beetle Gen 1 that was awarded to lucky winner Eric Lim from Kuala Lumpur.

Harley-Davidson launched its new FXDR 114 at the show. The new model focusses on top-end performance paired with enhanced agility marks a new wave of Harley Davidson bikes for the local market.

Other AOS 2019 activities included:
- Roda Rumble 2019 - Two Wheels Gathering & Outdoor Festival supported by Retro Mania
