Hari ini, 22 Mac 2019 bersamaan dengan hari Jumaat iaitu seminggu selepas kejadian tembakan di dua Masjid di Christchurch, New Zealand, wanita-wanita di sana mula memakai skaf untuk menunjukkan sokongan kepada para wanita Islam di sana.
Menggunakan pelbagai hashtag seperti #headscarfforharmony #scarvesforsolidarity #theyareus #wearethem #cometogether dan lain-lain lagi, mereka membayangkan bahawa negara seperti New Zealand menolak sama sekali kekejaman terhadap mana-mana agama.
"Today I wore a headscarf to school. A girl from another class approached me and lent me a second headscarf to wear, draped it around me, and hugged me.
"She is a Muslim. THEY ARE US. Keep showing love and unity, not just in the following weeks, but forever," tulis @theecovegan.
"Apologies that I'm probably not wearing this head scarf right, and I'm not sure about the colours, but I want to show my support for Muslim woman today," tulis @nicola_inui di Instagramnya.
Hari ini penduduk New Zealand daripada pelbagai agama dan kepercayaan bersama-sama mengingati peristiwa duka di Masjid Al Noor dan Linwood Islamic Centre, Christchurch.
Mereka memakai skaf dan menyambut seruan #headscarfforharmony dan #scarvesinsolidarity. Laungan Azan juga turut disiarkan ke seluruh New Zealand.
