Gear up, sneakerheads. adidas Malaysia recently launched a new campaign called "Home of Classics" that celebrates the latest iterations of key franchises in the Originals label. The campaign celebrates three historic franchises - Superstar, Gazelle, and Forum, which represent decades of culture and community.

In conjunction with that, adidas Malaysia brought the "Home of Classics" to life through three music-driven events featuring high profile performers at REXKL; the theater-turned-community hub that was also home to many music events in the past, organised by the venue.

The first event in the lineup was Lepas Geram powered by adidas Originals at REXKL’s Foyer, which took place on April 29th, 2023. Patrons partied with the likes of Naufal, I-Sky, Reddi Rocket and Shelhiel as the DJs got the crowd moving throughout the night. Members wearing adidas Originals sneakers enjoyed a neat complimentary shoe cleaning on site, too!

Next up is Hip Hop Night powered by adidas Originals will take place this weekend, on May 6th, 2023 with performances by Kokadaimon, Rudeen, and 53stu. Similarly like the first night, adiClub Members in adidas Originals footwear will also be able to enjoy complimentary shoe cleaning on site during the night itself. adiClub Members can also look forward to receiving a complimentary drink upon arrival.

The month of activations wraps up with Dub Tings, a night for all things EDM and techno, Dub Tings includes sets by Typo. D, I.T.Z., Jony, and AlfieRrari, which will be happening on May 12th, 2023.

Check out adidas Malaysia's official website, Facebook, and Instagram for further updates and join in the excitement of the "Home of Classics" events. You can also check out REXKL's IG and FB for more exciting events at the venue!

The Shoes Given: adidas Originals Forum

The Adidas Originals Forum has been around since 80s, originally designed as a basketball shoe, but has since become quite popular for casual wearers.

As a person who loves the classic look, the Forum fits my style well. The white, clean look allows the black three-stripe branding to pop. The Velcro strap across the ankle is simply the cherry on top.

In terms of comfort, the Forum provides exactly that. The padded collar and tongue add extra cushioning, so the process of ‘breaking into your shoe’ was a painless process for me. The Velcro strap also kept my feet secure and in place.

Best of all, these shoes pair with almost anything I wear. Black work jacket with black denim pants? Check. Oversized t-shirt with green shorts and long socks? Work as well. Comfort is one thing but its versatility makes the Forum an important component in my arsenal of sneakers.

You can check out the adidas site for more info on the Forum.
