MYs will know that Aespa had their first worldwide concert tour ‘Synk: Hyper Line’ last year which consisted of 31 concerts in 21 cities in 12 countries around the world. As expected, (sigh) they skipped out on Kuala Lumpur although they went to Jakarta and Bangkok.

This year, as part of their 2024 ‘Synk: Parallel Line’ tour they’ll be heading to numerous cities including Singapore, Jakarta, and Bangkok…and they’ll be skipping KL YET AGAIN *cries*.

It may be small consolation but MYs can now look forward to experiencing their concerts on the big screen with GSC bringing their debut concert film to Malaysian screens.

From 24 to 27 April (Wednesday to Saturday), ‘Aespa World Tour in Cinemas’ will be coming exclusively to GSC at selected locations.

Fans will be able to experience seeing Karina, Ningning, Giselle, and Winter in 4DX and ScreenX.

GSC has said that it is unconfirmed if it will be able in 2D. Ticket prices also have not been released yet but they typically start at RM60 for K-pop movies.

An electrifying show

According to the official website, during the movie MYs can “witness the unparalleled energy of aespa’s live performance captured from their electrifying show at London's O2 Arena, their first-ever UK show.

With their futuristic stage visuals, high-energy choreography and captivating vocals, they fiercely commanded the stage delivering fan favourites including ‘Next Level’, ‘Savage’, ‘Girls’, ‘Spicy’ and ‘Black Mamba’.”

The film also highlights individual performances by each member, complemented by exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews, offering a glimpse behind the curtain.

According to Billboard, the movie will be directed by Directed by Yoon Dong Oh (who was behind other K-pop concert films like NCT Nation: To the World and BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas) and Hamin Kim.

Their movie comes courtesy of Trafalgar Releasing (the global event-cinema distributor that’s teamed with the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, BTS, and Coldplay).
