PASKAL: The Movie was a Malaysian blockbuster hit that raked in RM30 million at the box office in 2018 and now Air Force The Movie: Selagi Bernyawa is hoping to recapture the magic.

The Malaysian cinema scene has had a long history of sticking with what works (that's why we're inundated with low-budget out-the-door horror movies).

That said, the current trend that's sweeping the nation is one that we can get behind: big budget productions with a healthy dose of patriotism.

Air Force The Movie: Selagi Bernyawa boasts a star-studded cast headlined by Aiman Hakim Ridza and Datuk Adi Putra and is directed by Zulkarnain Azhar (J Revolusi) and Frank See (writer for PASKAL).

The film tells the story of Royal Malaysian Air Force Special Forces (Paskau) leaders Capt Adib (Nas) and Maj Adnan (Adi) who protect war refugees in a Third World country who are aided by the Royal Malaysian Air Force.

Other big names involved in the movie include Nas-T, Luqman Hafidz, Johan As'ari, Pablo Amirul, Sara Ali, Anas Ridzuan, Iman Corrine, Niezam Zaidi, Carmen Soo, Scha Alyahya and Azira Syafinaz.



The trailer promises big expensive dog fights and military accurate depictions of our soldiers in the field. The movie is slated to debut in cinemas in time for Hari Merdeka, on 25 August 2022.
