Well, to be more specific, they run the local box office.


'BoboiBoy Movie 2' is now officially the highest grossing local animated film in Malaysia.

The animated movie produced by Animonsta Studios has collected a whopping RM27.7mil at the local box office in just 26 days, Astro Shaw announced on their Instagram page on Tuesday (3 September):

'BoboiBoy Movie 2' takes over the throne from 'Upin & Ipin: Keris Siamang Tunggal', which earned RM26.5mil in total.

Hollywood animated movies 'The Incredibles 2' (RM21.3mil), 'Big Hero 6' (RM20.9mil) and 'How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World' (RM20mil) round up the top five highest grossing animated films in Malaysia.
