Brad Pitt must be a very big Game of Thrones fanboy, or more specifically the Mother of Dragons.

Over the weekend, there was an annual charity gala held in Los Angeles for a non-profit organisation, J/P Haitian Relief Organisation and Disaster Relief Organisation.

The organisation founded by Sean Penn was established to help relief efforts after the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010.

The gala event saw many A-listers in attendance, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lena Dunham, Jason Segel, Emilia Clarke and her co-star Kit Harrington.

During the charity event, there was an auction offering the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch an episode of Game of Thrones with Emilia Clarke herself, who plays Daenerys Targaryen.

The bid started at USD20,000 (RM79,750) and Pitt’s fanboy instincts led him straight in with a USD80,000 (RM319,000) offer and then increased his bid to USD90,000 (RM358,875).

Would you just look at the excitement on his face.
The 54-year-old actor raised his final bid to USD120,000 (RM478,500)!

However, that amount still wasn’t enough to win him an hour with the English actress.

Pitt was outbid by another member from the audience that was probably an even bigger fan who put in a whopping USD160,000 (RM638,000)! That’s a lot of money just to watch one episode of a TV show!

But ultimately, all the money went to a good cause. The charity gala raised a whopping USD37 million (RM147.5 million) to help save lives and build sustainable programmes to the people of Haiti.

Better luck next time, Brad.
