2019 seems to be the year of the boyband (and girlband) as many of our favourite groups have either reunited for a special performance or announced a worldwide comeback tour.

For us Malaysians, we had British group Blue earlier this year and soon, we’ll be seeing Boyzone and Westlife in the flesh.

If you’re a die-hard fan of Westlife, you’d know that they’re now a four-piece group after Brian McFadden decided to leave in 2004 to focus on his family and solo career.

The good old days.
Many who adored McFadden probably had hoped he would rejoin the group for Westlife’s upcoming ‘Twenty Tour’ and guess what, you might just get to see the man himself in Malaysia.

The Irish native will be heading to our soil soon but sorry Westlife fans, he’ll be here to perform with Boyzone instead in June.

Surpriseee!
Yes, we didn’t see that coming either. Is there any bad blood between his former bandmates? Is he throwing shade at Westlife? We'll never know for sure.

According to a report by the New Straits Times, McFadden was announced as a special guest for Boyzone’s ‘Thank You and Goodnight Farewell Tour’.

There was no official word as to why the 39-year-old decided to ditch his old band and join another band on tour.

Whatever the reason may be, he may not be "Flying Without Wings" but you can still watch him perform "No Matter What" happens.
