‘Mulan’ was a big hit back in the 90s, and one of the reasons it was loved by many was because of all the cool songs featured in the movie, including its hit theme song ‘Reflection’ by Christina Aguilera.
Some of you may be wondering if there will be any new songs for the 2020 version of ‘Mulan’ considering that Disney has made it known that the film will not be a musical like the original animated version.
Well, no one knows for sure but we do have some exciting news from Miss Aguilera herself.
New material for the new movie
Entertainment Weekly reported that during a recent performance in Las Vegas, the former Mickey Mouse Club star announced that she has recorded some new material for the upcoming live-action film.
"The live action 'Mulan' is coming out by the way," she announced to the crowd.
"You have to go see it. I recorded a new "Reflection" and new material for the movie. I've been working on that, but this is the original."
Sounds exciting! Hopefully the version of ‘Reflection’ will be as beautiful as the original. It’s just a matter of weeks until we get to see the movie and hear the song.
The live-adaptation of ‘Mulan’ starring Yifei Liu, Donnie Yen, and Jet Li will premiere in cinemas on 26 March 2020.
