Claws Out: ‘Cats’ Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber Says The Film Was A Disaster
Last year, ‘Cats’ came out in theatres and received scathing reviews, not only from film critiques but also fans.
The film, based on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s insanely popular Broadway musical since its inception from the 1980s, stars not one, but a handful of A-list Hollywood stars, who, at this point, are probably regretting appearing in the movie.
Well, it’s not too long until its original creator came forward and expressed his thoughts on the ghastly human-cat hybrid film and its director, Tom Hooper.

No input needed from creator

What on Earth is that?! In an interview with the Sunday Times, the musical maestro said “the problem with the film was that Tom Hooper decided, as he had with ‘Les Mis’, that he didn’t want anybody involved in it who was involved in the original show.”
"The whole thing was ridiculous,” he added.
Apparently, before the the director came on board for the film adaptation, the film rights was sold to Steven Speilberg but the ‘Jurassic Park’ director never moved forward with it.
The movie starring Taylor Swift, Idris Elba, James Corden, Judi Dench, Jennifer Hudson, Rebel Wilson, Jason Derulo, and Ian McKellen flopped badly at the box office in 2019.
Well, consider youself lucky if you’ve never seen ‘Cats’ the movie as you were spared from a possible lifetime trauma of ugly cat-human hybrid.
