The whole of Gotham (and the internet) was abuzz when news broke that Robert Pattinson is going to be the next Batman in the re-boot titled 'The Batman'.

And now, it seems that the city will be shaken once again.

Warner Bros. has reportedly found the next villain to go up against Pattinson in the remake – Hollywood A-lister Colin Farrell.

According to Deadline, the studio is reportedly in talks with Farrell for the role of Gotham’s sharp-nosed villain, the Penguin.

Soon it will be Farrell against Pattinson.
If Farrell takes on the deal, he’ll star alongside Paul Dano as The Riddler and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.

The Penguin was previously played by Danny DeVito in Tim Burton’s 1992 film ‘Batman Returns’.

Apart from Farrell, Andy Serkis is also reportedly being considered for the role of Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s trusted butler.

We have to say, it’ll be hard to imagine Serkis playing Batman’s butler, since we’re so used to see him playing the bad guy.

Whoever plays The Penguin next needs to do it better than Danny DeVito.
So, is it a yay for both Farrell and Serkis’ roles, or a big nay?

‘The Batman’ is set to begin production in January 2020 in the UK, and will premiere on 25 June 2021.
