Confirmed: The Next Agent 007 Will Be A Female Star From ‘Captain Marvel’
For decades, the identity of James Bond, or Agent 007, has been predominantly white and male.
So, when the latest Bond actor Daniel Craig mentioned that he will be retiring from playing this iconic role soon, rumours of who will replace him next flooded the internet.
From Benedict Cumberbatch to Idris Elba, many wondered who will be worthy enough to fill Agent 007’s suave shoes. Will it be the same ol’ vanilla man or will there be inclusivity in the next Bond?
Well, everyone can now put those rumours to rest because according to the Daily Mail UK, James Bond’s next replacement has been found.

Lashana Lynch is set to play Agent 007 in the next Bond film, which is currently under production.
This is a historical moment for Lynch as she is now the first female and person of colour to play the famous agent.
We know, some of you might be thinking “so, will James Bond become Jamie Bond soon?”
Fret not, because the ‘Captain Marvel’ actress will be playing a new role but she will indeed be taking over Bond’s secret agent code ‘007’ once he retires from the MI6.

Daniel Craig will also appear in the movie as Bond.
The 25th installment of the Bond movie series is slated for premiere in 2020.
So, what do you think of the casting? Should the producers just stick to the old formula or change is something that the Bond universe desperately needs? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
