Not too long ago, during the Movement Control Order (MCO) D’Herbs cosmetics founder Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri came under the spotlight after he was saddened to learn that his government aid application (Bantuan Prihatin Nasional) was rejected.

A few months have passed, and now he has expressed interest in buying a football team! Hmmmm...

According to the New Straits Times, the entrepreneur is planning to buy the Kedah FA (KFA) football team, and his interest has been met well by Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.

The minister who is also the president of KFA had previously welcomed wealthy individuals who were interested in the team.

Wow meriahnya jersey.
"If he (Aliff) is interested, he can come and meet me for discussions," Muhammad Sanusi said.

Apparently, Aliff’s interest in the Kedah team is due to the fact that his wife was born there.

That's not the sole reason though.

He also wants he wants a team that has a large number of following and fans.

Potentially the next owner of KFA.
"If possible I'd want to buy the Kedah team. If it was JDT (the Johor team) I wouldn't be able to afford it. I feel like these are the only ones with the most influence," he said.

The ‘Badang’ actor won’t be the first cosmetics millionaire to sponsor a football team as Dato Seri Vida has claimed that title in 2016 after sponsoring her hometown’s team, Kelantan FC.
