Dave Bautista Will Quit Playing Drax If This Controversial Decision Isn’t Made
'Guardians of The Galaxy' (GOTG) is one of the funniest, action-packed, extra-terrestrial-filled movies Marvel has ever produced.
We can’t help but fall in love with the dynamics of the dysfunctional group and how everyone’s crazy antics compliment each other in the movie directed by James Gunn.
If you’ve been out of the loop, in July, Disney decided to fire the director after offensive tweets made by Gunn between 2008 to 2012 resurfaced.
The decision caused some mixed reactions from the cast members and fans: some applauded Disney’s move while others defended the director and said that it was an “intentional smear campaign”.

In an interview with ShortList, the former WWE star says that if Marvel doesn’t use the script that Gunn has sent in earlier prior to his termination, he will willingly “ask them to release me from my contract, cut me out or recast me.”I will do what Im legally obligated to do but @Guardians without @JamesGunn is not what I signed up for. GOTG w/o @JamesGunn just isn’t GOTG. Its also pretty nauseating to work for someone who’d empower a smear campaign by fascists #cybernazis . That’s just how I feel https://t.co/Ym4FwruVDu— Dave Bautista (@DaveBautista) August 5, 2018

Following the director’s termination, an online petition demanding James Gunn’s reinstatement as 'GOTG 3'’s director was signed by over 300,000 fans as well as cast members of the movie Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper.
Well, the next installment of 'GOTG' won’t be coming out until 2020, so let’s hope everything goes well and none of the cast members will resign.
