But what not many of you know is that he’s tied the knot with former ‘American Idol’ contestant, Katherine McPhee.
To top it of, the couple recently welcomed a new child.
New dad again at 71
According to People magazine, the 36-year-old actress and crooner gave birth to a healthy baby boy on 24 February.
"Katharine McPhee and David Foster have welcomed a healthy baby boy," the rep tells PEOPLE. "Mom, Dad and son are all doing wonderfully."
This is David’s sixth child. His five other children are from previous marriages and relationships – Allison, 50; Amy, 47; Sara, 40; Erin, 38; and Jordan, 34.
Foster and McPhee got hitched in 2019 after first meeting on ‘American Idol’ in 2006 when he mentored her on the show.
McPhee was the runner-up on season five of ‘American Idol’.
News of their pregnancy definitely stunned fans especially considering Foster’s age.
Well, guess he’s never too old to become a new father again. Congrats to the couple on their newborn!
