It seems that the controversies surrounding Johnny Depp following his messy divorce from Amber Heard is far from over.

Since losing his libel lawsuit against a British tabloid despite audio evidence of Heard abusing Depp, Warner Bros has forced the actor to resign from the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ franchise.

His resignation sparked an outrage amongst fans and some feared that he may lose out on other existing jobs or ambassador roles.

Dior Stands With Johnny

Part of the Sauvage ad.
Some of you may think that fashion house Dior would cut ties with Johnny in the near future, but it’s actually the opposite.

Dior recently aired an ad on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom featuring the 57-year-old actor for their Dior Sauvage aftershave or perfume.

The ad aired during the finals of the ‘Great British Bake Off’ and prompted fans to go out and purchase the perfume.

According to The Guardian, Depp was paid somewhere between USD3 million to USD5 million (RM12.23 million – RM20.38 million) for the ad.

An iconic man for an iconic role.
Interestingly, ever since losing the court case and the Gridelwald role, internet searches for ‘Dior Sauvage’ has increased drastically.

Depp has been the face of Sauvage ever since it was launched in 2015.

Fans have also tweeted in support of him and thanked Dior for not servering ties with the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star.
