Disney is still going strong with its string of live-action remakes, and one of the films we’re looking forward to is ‘Mulan’.

Naturally, with every live-action remake comes changes to its storyline or introduction of new characters, but one potential major change in the 'Mulan' remake didn’t exactly sit well with the fans.

It was reported that the new ‘Mulan’, slated for 2020 release, will not feature an iconic character.

Which 'Mulan' character is your favourite?
According to The Disinsider, Disney has decided to go in a new direction by replacing Mulan’s beloved sidekick Mushu.

Some of the cast members were also seen wearing hoodies with the world ‘Mulan’ and a red phoenix symbol.

Mushu, the little dragon slash guardian voiced by Eddie Murphy, would probably be secretly screaming “Dishonour! Dishonour on you! Dishonour on your cows!” to Disney if this news actually comes true.

Let them hear it, Mushu!
To add salt to the wound, the original music featured in the animated film will reportedly not be sung by the cast members in the live-action ‘Mulan’. The music will only appear as an instrumental version.

We hope that this news will remain as an unconfirmed rumour and Disney will prove us wrong next year (Or who knows, after reading the backlash from fans, they’ll tweak the movie).

‘Mulan’ will meet fans in cinemas on 27 March 2020.
