Not giving up
Local singer and actress Elyana Emrizal has recently revealed that cancer cells had spread to other organs in her body.The 33-year-old actress, who starred in 'Dukun', told New Straits Times that the lymphoma had spread to her womb, liver and hips.
According to Elyana, doctors told her when she was hospitalised last month that the cancer cells had been reduced.
"However, they later found that the disease has spread to my womb, liver and hips as well," she was quoted as saying, adding that the doctors had advised her to begin chemotherapy treatment immediately.
Elyana, who was first diagnosed with cancer in 2010, revealed that she experienced a loss of appetite over the past few months, and she now only weighs 40kg.
She assured fans that she will undergo chemotherapy as soon as she feels better and that she will not give up easily.
"I'm not one to give up easily. I intend to fight the disease all the way and also motivate others with cancer to do the same," she was quoted as saying.
