Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans, here’s something new that’ll get your adrenaline pumping if you’ve been missing some MCU action on the silver screen – ‘Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings’.

The highly anticipated superhero film finally dropped its first trailer, giving us a glimpse of who Shang-Chi is and what is his story like.

Perhaps 2021 is truly the year of representation for Asians. From ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ to ‘Mortal Kombat’, now comes ‘Shang-Chi’.

Simu Liu, who plays the titular character, was given a surprise of a lifetime after Marvel decided to debut both the official poster and trailer on his birthday.

According to the film’s producer, Jonathan Schwartz, this is "the best action movie [Marvel has] ever done".

Fans were over the moon following the teaser trailer release and took to social media to express their excitement.

‘Shang-Chi’ tells the tale of a man who must confront his past and his ties to the Ten Rings organisation and a world full of assassins and kung fu masters.

The film also stars the who's who of Asian cinema: Tony Leung, Awkwafina, Fala Chen, and fellow Malaysians Ronny Chieng and Michelle Yeoh.

Wenwu is also known as 'the Mandarin' and the 'Ten Rings' organisation have also been briefly mentioned in past MCU films.

Interestingly, fans have claimed that the soundtrack for this film was performed by by K-Pop star, Jackson Wang.

If this is true, he will be the first K-Pop artiste to have made an OST for a Marvel film.

‘Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ is set to premiere on 3 September 2021.
