Get Ready For Another Galactic Adventure 'Cause Disney Has Announced Another New ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy

As we anticipate the next Star Wars movie this December – Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Disney has revealed that the movie’s director, Rian Johnson will be making an entirely new Star Wars trilogy. Johnson is also set to write and direct the new saga.

The new trilogy will be different from the Skywalker saga as Johnson plans to “introduce new characters from a corner of the galaxy that Star Wars lore has never before explored.”

According to Disney chief executive, Robert Iger, the movie franchise brainchild by George Lucas has been doing very well and exceeded expectations ever since LucasFilm was acquired by Disney five years ago.

No word yet on whether any former characters will make an appearance in the new trilogy or what the movie plot is mainly about, so guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Apart from films, Disney also plans to do Star Wars feature films for a new direct-to-consumer pay service that will offer thousands of hours of television and film content. Guess business must be really booming for them and Star Wars fans must be really hungry for more movies.
