Fans were delighted to hear the news and can’t wait to see him reprise his iconic role in the hit TV series.

Although the actor himself might’ve revealed this very crucial news, fans need to be patient as there is no word on when it will actually take place or if the studio has given the green light.

According to Digital Spy, Purcell says that the cast members are in agreement “if the story is worthy”, a sixth season will be made.

Well, maybe they’ve all agreed to the script for season six. Only time will tell.

In the meantime, maybe it’s time you revisit your favourite show and binge watch all five seasons?
