If you're a fan of the Power Rangers (or not), be prepared to see a whole lot - and we mean, A LOT! - of your favourite teenagers with attitude.

The producer of the popular 1990s TV series re-boot has revealed that they're planning to take the Power Rangers down the same route as the Transformers movies: by announcing five more sequels!

Saban Entertainment founder Haim Saban recently told US entertainment site Variety that they have mapped out a prolonged movie franchise.

“We already have a six-movie story arc”, he was quoted by the news site as saying.

According to Saban, the story planning for Power Rangers 2 could start as soon as this week!

“If this film is as successful as I hope, on March 24, on March 25 we’ll have the first story meeting for movie number two," he told Variety.

Power Rangers was officially released in Malaysia on 23 March, after a minor scare in which TGV Pictures, the local distributor of the movie, was forced to pull the movie out of cinema listings due to a censorship issue.
