Get Ready To Rumble, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Is Returning To ‘WWE Smackdown’
Wrestling fans, you would know by now that WWE has helped catapulted many wrestlers into superstardom, with some of them becoming Hollywood stars over the years.
And one of those wrestlers is Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who’s arguably the most famous wrestler-turned-actor of all time.
Fans now get to see him more on the silver screens rather in the ring, but if you miss the good old days of seeing The Rock giving eyebrow-raising smackdowns to his opponents, we’ve got great news for you.
The Rock has recently announced that he’ll be returning to ‘WWE Smackdown’ on Friday, 4 October.
“FINALLY... I come back home to my @WWE universe,” he wrote via his Instagram account.
“I’ve been quite the lucky SOB to have such a transcendent career above and well beyond my wildest of dreams. I’ve been blessed with many honors over the years, but none greater than that of being #thepeopleschamp.”
“And there’s no place like home. Tequila on me after the show.”
Naturally, fans went wild over the news as they can’t wait to see “the people’s champ” making a comeback to wrestling.
No word yet whether this will be a one-time appearance or if he will be returning throughout the series. The last time The Rock appeared on WWE was on 25 January 2016 on an episode of ‘WWE Raw’.So guys, get ready to smell what The Rock is cooking up soon.
