Golden Screen Cinemas Introduces New Panoramic Screen That’s 270 Degrees!

If you’re a true-blue movie fan, we are pretty sure you've tried watching tonnes of movies in various types of cinemas – Beanieplex, MX4D, IMAX, Samsung ONYX; you get the idea.

And just when you thought you’ve tried it all, Golden Screen Cinemas will be bringing you on a new cinematic journey.

A 270-degree panoramic screen named ScreenX will grace GSC theatres nationwide beginning 2019.

What’s even more exciting is the screen will comprise of three wall panels!

And in case you’re wondering where the first ScreenX screen will be housed at, it’ll be available at GSC 1Utama next year.

Two more ScreenX theatres will be launched in 2020.

According to GSC, ScreenX allows the audience to “go beyond the frame of the traditional movie screen, utilising a proprietary system to expand the center screen image to the side walls, surrounding audiences with imagery that gives a sense of being inside the movie.”

Sounds exciting! Now imagine watching 'Avengers: Endgame' with this super cool technology. Definitely going to be an epic experience!

Apart from ScreenX, GSC will also be adding three more 4DX theatres at 1Utama by the end of 2018 and the rest at IOI City Mall Putrajaya, and Southkey Johor Bahru in 2019.

Now let’s all just hope that ScreenX will be available during the first quarter of 2019 so that we can enjoy all the upcoming Marvel movies!
