Heads Up 'Game Of Thrones' Fans! You Need To Sign Up For This College Course Now
We’re still reeling over how much money the main cast of Game of Thrones will be making for the new season. Now we may not be as lucky as the stars to actually be in the epic HBO series, but instead of just imagining ourselves playing the roles that only exist in our fantasies, you can now learn to speak one of its totally made-up but completely functional languages!
UC Berkeley is offering an entire course on the Dothraki language taught by none other than the creator himself, David J. Peterson.

This course accepts up to 40 students who are interested in the art of language creation.
"Students are going to be learning how to create a naturalistic language. These are languages that attempt as nearly as possible to replicate the quirks and idiosyncrasies of natural languages," Peterson said in an interview.
"It’s not going to focus on the creation of alien languages, or auxiliary languages, or parody languages."

You can think of it as an art course. Sounds like it’s going to be pretty hardcore!
But what better way to learn how to invent a whole new language than from the most famous and successful language creator himself?
So if you’re thinking about heading to the U.S. of A this summer, consider signing up for the course on 22 May and you just might end up becoming the next language creator for another fantasy series!
But for the rest of us who can't afford to go on a holiday or just don't have time to go back to school, you can also learn Dothraki on your own online without having to read the subtitles to find out what ifak, choyo or graddakh means (you might want to Google it for now).
*Spoiler alert*
Why be distracted by the subtitles when you could be watching Khal Drogo kill Mago and rip out his throat in full HD!If you've never jumped on the Game of Thrones bandwagon or you're a diehard fan who doesn't mind going on another GoT marathon, now you can catch up on all episodes from Season 1 to 6 on Astro! Just connect your Astro PVR and see it all on demand.
