Hearing your favourite K-Pop idols venturing into the drama world isn’t something new; in fact, there are a handful or Korean stars who are considered triple threats as they can sing, dance, and act.

And the latest South Korean star to get into the K-drama world is BLACKPINK’s very own, Jisoo.

Management has confirmed

According to Soompi, the singer has been casted as the female lead in the upcoming K-drama titled ‘Snowdrop’.

A source from Blackpink's management company YG Entertainment confirmed the news, saying: "It is true that Jisoo is starring in the new drama tentatively titled ‘Snowdrop’."

The drama series will be written and directed by the same duo behind ‘Sky Castle’, which is Korea’s highest-rated K-drama to date.

Prior to ‘Snowdrop’, Jisoo has previously made a cameo appearance in ‘The Producers’ in 2015 and also starred in ‘Arthdal Chronicles’ as Song Joong Ki’s first love.

No word yet on when the K-drama will air or when production will take place.

So, do you think ‘Snowdrop’ would be able to recreate ‘Sky Castle’s’ success? And will the 25-year-old K-pop star be able to live up to her fans’ expectation?
