Dominating international charts
After releasing her new song "On The Ground" on 12 March, Rosé has been breaking all sorts of music records as a solo artiste.According to Entertainment Weekly, the 24-year-old New Zealand-born musician made history by becoming the first singer to top the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts.
On top of that, Rosé became the first musician to top the Billboard Global Excl. US chart as both a solo singer and with a group, following BLACKPINK's chart-topping single "Lovesick Girls" last year.
"On The Ground" also became the highest-charting release for a female K-pop soloist in history when it landed at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this week.

The catchy song, which was part of Rosé’s solo single album ‘R’, raced to the top of the Billboard Global 200 chart after hitting 92.1 million streams on the same week the album was launched.
Breaking records on YouTube too
While "On The Ground" has been dominating airwaves, its music video has been breaking records on YouTube too, NME reported.The music video raked in 41.6 million views in the first 24 hours of its release, beating the record held by PSY’s highly-infectious tune "Gangnam Style" which had only managed to hit 36 million views on the first day of its launch.
