A couple of months ago, there were rumours swirling around that a 'Captain America 4' is in the works.

In fact, there were also rumours that the only Cap we know, Chris Evans, will be returning to helm the movie.

Now that 'Captain America 4' has been confirmed, the only question remains: will Evans be returning?

Not much is known yet

Well, the answer is no, because Anthony Mackie is all set to wear the costume and carry the shield of Captain America in the fourth installation of the movie.

Considering that Chris Evan's 'Captain America' passed his shield to Falcon played by Mackie in 'Avengers: Endgame', it comes as no surprise that the latter will be taking over the role as Captain.

According to Deadline and Variety, the movie will be co-written by “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” head writer Malcolm Spellman but there isn't much news on the rest of the cast and crew yet.

Meet your new Cap.
This will be the sixth time Mackie will be in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He first appeared as Falcon in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' in 2014 and appeared in five other movies.

In 'Avengers: Endgame', Evans passes his shield to Mackie and you can watch the latter struggling to accept his new role in Marvel Studios Disney+ limited series 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier'.

We're going to miss seeing Evans' version of Captain America but the new development is just as exciting!
