Joanne Kam will bring her one-woman comedy special 'Joanne Kam: La La Lian' with all new material to major cities across the nation this August until October.
The 90-minute showcase will prove to Malaysians the complexity in her writing and wit as she entertains with a unique blend of comedy and storytelling.
In this show, Kam wants to take audiences on a whirlwind journey of how an animated little girl grew up to be one of Malaysia's most influential and longest running standup comedians.
From her nomadic life moving between Ipoh, Penang, Johor and Kuala Lumpur, to her 26 years in the entertainment industry, she will share stories from her first entry into the dimly lit back stages of Haw Par Villa, to the blinding lights at Boom Boom Room, to the empowering Super Kam comedy series, comedy fans will be treated to an all-round one-woman show on this upcoming tour.
Her struggles, accomplishments and achievements are just the tip of the iceberg. This special will see the wonder woman baring nearly all -- because a woman still needs to keep some secrets -- giving insights to how a feisty, determined individual transformed into Malaysia's Comedy Sweetheart.
Kam's comedy, like her wigs, come in different colours and shades of humour. And you can witness it firsthand across the country as she works the stage in Penang, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Johor Bahru, and one more time in Kuala Lumpur.
