Last month, the universe’s mightiest heroes a.k.a The Avengers took the world by storm and shattered multiple box office records with the long anticipated ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

They ‘tanked’ the Titanic, tried to catch up with the blue-beings of ‘Avatar’; all the while raking in the highest weekend-opening of all time.

But it seems that their reign at the box-office may have come to an end as a retired hitman takes them out with a bang.

According to Entertainment Weekly, ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ starring Keanu Reeves ‘killed off’ the whole Avengers gang at the box office.

The third installment about the misadventures of John Wick made USD57 million (RM238.50 million) at the American box office, and USD92 million (RM384.95 million) globally.

The movie is Reeves’ second-biggest domestic debut after ‘The Matrix’.

After toppling the cinematic universe’s greatest rival to date, John Wick sends off another ‘warning’ to others by announcing the date of the fourth installation of ‘John Wick’.

The man of the hour is back (and will be back again in two years!).
‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ is set to meet fans in cinemas on 21 May 2021.

The announcement was made in hitman-for-hire style after Lionsgate texted fans "You have served. You will be of service. John Wick: Chapter 4 is coming -- May 21, 2021.”

No further details were given but that message alone is enough to make everyone excited for the next two years.
