Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard: Memorable Moments from the Trial as It Ends

Unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably heard about the defamation suit between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as the former is suing the latter for $50 million. This is due to an op-ed piece Heard wrote about being domestically abused that allegedly pointed to Depp, causing a blow to his career. Clips and videos from the well-covered trial has been trending ever since it started back in April 12. It is set to end this week with final arguments scheduled for May 27.

The lawsuit has captured the attention of people the world over and countless memes and parodies have even popped up on TikTok due to the ludicrousness of some of the witnesses and lawyers involved.

There have been numerous memorable moments from the trials that gave us laugh out loud moments but here are some of our favourites:

When Amber Heard claimed that she constantly carried around makeup to cover up her bruises

Only for the makeup company Milani to call her out, saying that the palette in question had not even been produced until after their divorce.

During his line of questioning, attorney Adam Nadelhaft got erm, somewhat confused and objected to his own question as hearsay, prompting the judge to remind him that it was in fact his own query. Talk about embarrassing.

Johnny testified that Amber left human fecal matter on their bed while she claimed that it was left by their dogs. Uhm, gross?

When a psychologist had to testify about buying muffins

Amber’s lawyer claimed that Dr. Shannon Curry had breached confidentiality by sharing about her client with her husband, leading to the psychologist exasperatingly relating a story about muffins. A truly bizarre exchange.

While the Hollywood megastar has a string of movies under his belt including Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Amber is really only known for Aquaman. Apparently Johnny actually had to even help her land this role which the lawyer called her out on straight to her face. Ooh, burn.
