If bus tickets to Penang were difficult to find last week, it’s most probably because of Masahiro Inoue’s fan event held at PenangPac, Georgetown. Kamen Rider fans from across the country travelled to Penang to meet their hero in a special one-day only session.

If you’re not familiar with all things Kamen Rider, Masahiro Inoue was famous for playing the role of Tsukasa Kadoya aka Kamen Rider Decade, a series that lasted for ten long, glorious Kamen years.

What’s special about Kamen Rider Decade is his ability to jump from one dimension to the another, making him a fan-favorite in the Kamen fandom.

The Japanese actor arrived in Penang on the 17th of July, greeted by hundreds of adoring fans of all ages. Other than signing merchandise and showing the audience a few neat fighting moves, Inoue also recreated the iconic ‘I’m just a passing-through Kamen Rider’ scene to wow his fans (the fans were definitely thrilled!).

After the event concluded, Masahiro Inoue was seen exploring the streets of Georgetown, in search for the best lunches in town. He was even spotted in front of Kayu Nasi Kandar. Reckon he went a bit extra and ordered the giant squid with his nasi?

We hope Masahiro had a pleasant time in Penang and maybe next time come down to Kuala Lumpur as well.

Man, writing this definitely gave us a walk down memory lane, which reminds us that we once wrote about Kamen Rider, Power Rangers and a bunch of nostalgic childhood icons that will make you feel older than you should.
